17, 2005 - The Bigfoot UFO outbreak of 1973 has caught the eye of
the Producers of Creepy Canada, a Canadian production airing
on the CTV family of networks in Canada. The series, which is now
in its third season has extended its reach beyond the Canadian border
for this season and is producing United States-based stories as well
as its array of homegrown mysteries.
“It was a logical choice to tell U.S. stories
and it allowed us to give viewers a wider range of unique, compelling
and frightening segments,” says Bill Burke, director and creator
of the series.
The show is seeking an array of actors, over 20
in all, to portray witnesses, police officers, and even a 30-year-
younger Stan Gordon (local UFO researcher). They are also casting
someone to play the multiple Bigfoot creatures sighted – men
six-foot-four and up are welcome to apply. The costume can accommodate
up to six-foot10. It’s an opportunity to earn almost nothing
and stay up until 4 a.m., but it is also a lot of fun and a great
way to see just how a film set works - only a really fast moving
film set."
Locations are also an issue, Burke said, primarily
finding a farm where the main encounter occurs as well as an isolated
looking cabin, a trailer park and an isolated middle class home.
There is even a police interrogation room.
