In late 2005, with the approach of the 40th Anniversary of the Kecksburg, PA UFO crash incident,the Kecksburg V.F.D. established a UFO and Festival Committee. The purpose of the committee is tomaintain historical events of the town, and to celebrate with the Kecksburg Volunteer FireDepartment /Rescue Squad and the Ladies Auxiliary and the community.

Over the years the Kecksburg V.F.D. Street Fair was a major part of the community. Again the Kecksburg V.F.D. will embark on events such as the December 9, 1965, UFO event and atown festival to generate badly needed funds for the fire department to survive.

The Kecksburg V.F.D. has set up a UFO store where they are selling Kecksburg UFO memorabilia to help support this small community fire department and rescue squad.They have a great selection of Kecksburg UFO T-shirts, golf shirts, hooded sweat shirts, and caps as well as other items. Keep checking this web site for dates and times of upcoming Kecksburg UFO events that are being scheduled. In the next few months, the Kecksburg V.F.D. UFO Committee will be erecting a new permanent UFO monument near the fire station to commemorate the December 9, 1965 UFO crashincident that occurred in the nearby woods. Some members of the Kecksburg V.F.D. were involvedwith the 1965 Kecksburg UFO incident when it occurred.
